Heron Preston and Gentle Monster were about to launch their collaboration when we were commissioned to produce collateral assets for the occasion. Heron was super happy about the collection, so besides the main campaign produced by Gentle Monster, he also wanted to have special content for its own Instagram channel.
Since the profile has a very raw approach, we thought about having an industrial look & feel, with elements such as grids, steel, pipes and electric panels, serving as the background for the sunglasses. The result is balanced by the sophisticated use of lights and warm filters, marked by the distinctive style of the analogue camera.
We also asked Heron to be part of the campaign himself in a simple and interesting way: giving him a scanner to play with his own image.

HERON PRESTON - Mercedes Benz Collab Teasing Campaign

As part of a big collaboration of Heron Preston and Mercedes Benz to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the air bags, Heron designed an outwear capsule collection created to functionally inflate and deflate with air on demand by lining with an inflatable insulating system.
All the producing process was managed by a Mercedes Benz “lab factory”, based near Milan, while Heron coordinated everything from New York (during the COVID-19 travel bans). Our mission was to portray the making-of of the items, capturing especially the working place, as a teasing campaign. The main part of the project happened in loco, with behind-the-scenes video and photography content. With Heron Preston in town a few weeks later, we realized a collateral shooting, with him interacting with his creations. The assets were used by Heron Preston social media and important media outlets, like Hypebeast and GQ Italia.We also asked Heron to be part of the campaign himself in a simple and interesting way: giving him a scanner to play with his own image.

Digital Campaign

Using typical industrial elements such as ladders, oil drums, carts and
forklifts, we transformed a warehouse into a creative factory, the scenario for the shooting we realized for Heron Preston focused on the hero products of its SS21 collection.
As these photos were to be published throughout the season on the website, Instagram and in the newsletters sent out, the set design had to be
varied, with different elements that helped to differentiate one image from another. The light chosen was constant, with a big contrast between
background and models, to highlight the products.

HERON PRESTON — SS21 Lookbook
Art Direction - Photography
After promoting in June 2020 a completely digital campaign for the
Resort collection, Heron Preston was ready for launching his new
season, Spring Summer 2021. A dedicated lookbook shooting was
supposed to happen in Milan, but Heron himself couldn’t fly from New
York to follow the production.
Besides participating live, approving the shots in real time, he also asked for giving his touch on the final result of the story. He chose then the
order of the pictures and decided to number them, writing directly on the printed image.

A journey into a Hyper-Zone where the lines between real and virtual are blurred in a representation that has no limits of space and time, and it is placed between city and nature, past and future. Its protagonists are global citizens projected into a surreal utopian world, made of beautiful nature scenarios and new urban contexts, full of colors, shapes and references linked to the most important elements of Heron
Preston’s path.
The brand’s RE21 Digital Showroom project was based on its “best of'' and was developed in different aspects, from creative direction to web design. An emotional video that introduced the life and career of Heron, the layout of the landing page for the buyers… All the content used for the sales campaign was created by us. The highlight was the content that introduced the looks: videos that mixed real footage with 3D elements and, instead of models, had avatars representing the main role of them, walking around, dancing, wearing Heron Preston collection.
