The exhibition features video, sculptures and photography by the young Sicilian artist, who explores the relationship between the body and the hybrid in both societal and inner realities. Through her art, she develops a concept of entity that traverses worlds of possible forms.
The title CON-DIVENIRE alludes to the theories of American philosopher Donna Haraway, just as Emma Scarafiotti’s creations evoke a layered body, a blend of diverse worlds, transcending gender, time, space and reality.
Emma Scarafiotti (b. 1996, Siracusa) is a Sicilian artist and visual director based in Milan. Through moving image, performance, and experimental narratives, her work explores the body as a mutable shell and the poetics of post-human identity. Exhibited internationally, her practice unfolds between intimacy, transformation, and the imaginary.
