ATTACHMENT by William Farr

07.11.2025 - 27.11.2025

Golab was pleased to host ATTACHMENT, a solo exhibition by William Farr, presenting paintings that blur the line between material presence and embodied sensation.

In Farr’s practice, canvases are not static objects but vibrating events
— some literally emitting sub-audible frequencies that turn perception into a physical experience. This heightened sensitivity stems from a period of radical stillness the artist undertook, confronting pain, illusion, and the shifting boundaries of self.

Here, painting becomes an observation of sensation: colour and form emerge as residue, while the introduction of white marks a new threshold of transparency, depth, and release. Attachment unfolds as both theme and condition — a constellation of physical, emotional, and technical bonds that anchor the work to space, viewer, and artist.

For the exhibition, NUR created a bespoke fragrance that extended Farr’s universe into scent, enveloping visitors in warm, introspective notes of amber, cardamom, incense, and absinthe.

Through this interplay of image, vibration, and aroma, ATTACHMENT invited viewers into a space of tension, tenderness, and profound presence.
